OW Essentials No.05 – Mintprint 2-Strip LUT
TWO-STRIP COLOUR, REWORKED FOR MOTION
Mintprint is built for footage that should feel intentionally designed rather than neutrally reproduced. It reinterprets the limited palette and colour separation associated with early two-colour cinema as a contemporary motion look.
Whites, foliage and cooler surroundings move towards mint and cyan, while reds, oranges and skin retain a comparatively warmer bias. Dusty pink and coral midtones combine with deeper teal-toned shadows to create a graphic split between warm and cool colour families.
The result is stylised and immediately recognisable. Standard delivers the full colour separation and contrast of the look, while Soft retains the same palette with gentler contrast and smoother tonal transitions.

How it was designed
Mintprint is an authored interpretation of the colour separation associated with early two-colour cinema. It is not a measured reproduction of a specific historical print, film stock or laboratory process.
The Standard version carries the strongest palette separation and contrast. Soft uses the same underlying colour direction with smoother contrast and more natural roll-offs, making it easier to integrate into gentler grades.
Each camera-specific version is designed for direct use with its stated log profile, allowing the same creative direction to be used across different camera systems.
