Welcome to offwhitecolor, where digital film emulation meets simplicity and precision. In a world flooded with countless film emulation LUTs and tools, finding one that truly delivers on its promises can be a challenging task. I've encountered countless emulations that fall short, particularly when it comes to preserving natural skin tones—an essential aspect in any professional environment. As a seasoned colorist with extensive experience in the television commercial industry and certification as a DaVinci Resolve user and trainer, I set out to create true digital film emulation luts that combine user-friendliness with high accuracy conversions. Drawing from my background in audiovisual design and hands-on experience in film development, I embarked on a journey to bridge the gap between existing film emulations and my own needs as a full-time working colorist.

The creation process behind offwhitecolor digital stocks is simple yet effective. Using an analog camera loaded with a specific stock and a digital camera, I captured various color charts under different lighting conditions. After scanning the films and aligning them with images from the digital cameras, I utilized profiling software to create color-accurate transformation LUTs.

Currently, my existing digital stocks and technical luts are compatible with a range of cameras, including the Sony FX30, Sony FX3 and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.
