Most "film look" LUTs take shortcuts. They crush contrast, oversaturate colors, and leave you with an artificial, exaggerated aesthetic that looks nothing like real film. This LUT takes a different approach.

The Kodak Vision3 250D Cineon Emulation LUT is based on real negative scans, not guesswork or stylized presets. Using direct data from scanned Kodak Vision3 250D negatives, both the tone curve and color response were extracted to create a true Cineon scan representation.

Unlike generic conversions, this LUT is designed to work seamlessly with existing Kodak print film LUTs, including DaVinci Resolve’s built-in Kodak 2383 print LUTs. This allows for a true negative-to-print film emulation pipeline, ensuring accurate, professional results.

The standard Cineon to Rec.709 transforms often fall short, leaving behind an unnatural look. This LUT fixes that—providing an authentic Kodak Vision3 250D film response in Cineon log space, ready for print emulation.
